Case study
Every company faces its own challenges, and often needs to evolve its structure or practices to optimize its resources.
Here are just a few examples
Issues :
The company was finding it difficult to manage its users’ email accounts and to set up effective collaborative working.
Solutions provided :
– Installation of a cloud-based digital suite with online messaging, file sharing and editing.
– User training
Company employees can access company-deployed cloud tools according to employer-defined rules.
Issues :
A company with several branches had lost visibility over its equipment and its maintenance contracts, which were spread across several locations in Japan.
Solutions provided :
– Installation and configuration of a database to reference each branch office
-For each branch, we add location information, all equipment (computers, printers, photocopiers, telephones) and contracts (internet connection, warranty, maintenance, etc.).
– If required, a ticket system is added to request assistance and follow-up online.
From its head office, the company can now have an overview of all its IT equipment, maintenance contracts and subscriptions for each branch.
Issues :
A company over-equipped itself with printing equipment. One or more printers were installed in the workspaces. Consumables were not managed centrally, and staff kept spare cartridges in their offices. The heterogeneity of printer models made it very difficult for the accounting department to keep a clear track of the company’s consumables stock.
As a first step, we conducted an audit to understand the organization of printing within the company.
The audit focused on two main aspects:
– Equipment (printers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, consumables, servers and computers).
– Printing practices
We provided a set of recommendations for significantly reducing the company’s printing costs, and supported the company in implementing them.
